- Information Gathering: We meet with you to discuss your specific needs and goals. Together, we sketch out your design preferences, messaging, and an approach to content creation. If you need a domain name, we assist in research and registration and we make name recommendations, as needed.
- Proposal: We provide you with a written proposal that defines the deliverables, cost, and completion schedule for your site, based on our initial discussion. The proposal outlines your site’s structure and identifies the design template on which it will be based. It also lists the client-provided material that we’ve agreed to and on which we will depend. If you accept our proposal, we will request a deposit to start work.
- Website Development: We begin developing your site. During this phase, we gather from you the material needed to create new content—including text and graphics—and/or to edit the content that you have provided. For new content that we compose, we request your approval of drafts as we go. If you want your site to include new custom photos, we can refer you to a photographer for assistance. During this phase, we also prototype and finalize the website design elements and navigation. We request that you review these elements before we complete development. If any changes are needed, this is the time to identify them. When you approve the prototype, we request a payment of half the remaining balance. We then complete development.
- Website Testing and Review: Once we have completed your website, we meet with you again for a final review. We request that you test the site to ensure that all pages look and work to your satisfaction. Since we involve you along the way, there should be no surprises. When the review is completed and you like what you see, we request written approval and final payment.
- Go Live: Upon final payment, we launch your site, making it available to the public and visible to all major search engines.
